Nikki- Update
Nikki has come around 100%...what an awesome and smart dog she is. She has settled into her new routine wonderfully. So well mannered, she waits and sits to go outside. She walks well on lead. She is coming along wonderfully with some continued training. She wants to please, so she is an easy one to train. She would really be best in a home that will continue to work with her or give her a job to do like Agility...
Nikki is a Belgian Malinois X, she is 2 yrs old, very smart and learns quickly. Her commands thus far are; Sit, down, come, stay, touch, roll over, leave it, kennel up, wait, out, jump, drop it, load up, and cross it, for crossing the street. A home without small children would be best because of her energy level and strength. She would excel at Agility. She can jump on top of her crate like a cat. She has climbed over a 6 foot fence, so a covered kennel is required. Her previous owner was with her constantly, he would take her out hiking all the time. She does have prey drive so no cats. Nikki was known to go to the dog park and did fine, but she has tons of energy, so another more timid dog may get scared. An only dog home would be best. Nikki is great in the house, and is crate and house trained...she loves to run, so maybe a running partner???
