Miss Leila came to our home last night. She is extremely sweet but very energetic! She has searched the yard - following the scent paths of our dogs to see what she can find. All puppy at 1.5 years old but not aware of how large she is! She listens quite well and knows her basic commands of sit, down, stay. She has a definite interest in chasing the ball and does not always want to give it back. She met the cat and did not show aggression, however she was too interested to be taken off leash around him. I will work with her on breaking that stalking glare she gives him. She likes kids but could accidentally knock them over due to the puppy play she has. She really loves playing and being with the family. Leila is crate trained and knows when she has to go into the crate. With her intelligence, great sense of smell and ball drive she can be an outstanding dog for the right person who will devote their time to ensuring that her training is complete and that she is kept in line. She needs structure and rules in her life to become the outstanding dog that her potential is showing. If you know that you can give Leila the life that she needs then please fill out an application to adopt. I will keep adding updates as the days go by. Today will be her photo shoot once we find the camera !!!

Do you think that Leila would be easily trainable? We are looking for a dog that we can work with a professional trainer, to help the dog become a companion animal for our autistic son. She sounds like a lot of fun!

Leila seems to be quite trainable in the right hands. Right now she gets overly excited with our dogs and the play turns into a battle of dominance. I don't believe she ever learned how to properly play with other dogs. I have tried working with her when it comes to cats but can not recommend that she go to a home with cats. With the proper training she could be an outstanding dog. I haven't had the time to really work closely with her on a daily basis due to work. She really is a good dog but needs a lot of exercise to get rid of her pent up energy. She needs firm handling. Please feel free to email us with any other questions.

Ok, thank you for the info. We do have two adult cats so that doesn't sound like it would work. Do you know anything about Tiko? I saw him on the website. He sounds pretty awesome. Thanks!

Yes, I noticed that on the site. Thanks. Do you guys ever work with the Washington German Shepherd Rescue? They have a younger German Shepherd that I felt like would be a good match for us, but they did not ant to adopt to someone in Montana. I didn't know if you guys ever worked together or not, as we are extremely interested in her.
